Gary Crotaz and Ming Yuan | Dancesport Biography

Gary started dancing aged 4, at Harry and Betty Wilcox's school in Southampton. He started competing at the age of 9, taking part in national and international Juvenile, Junior, Youth and Amateur championships in both Ballroom and Latin American disciplines.

The pictures below show Gary with Kelly-Jane Unsworth, winning the Surrey Amateur Ballroom Championship at the Rivoli Ballroom, and competing with Katherine Moon in an Amateur Championship in Southall.

After a career break for medical school and business training, he dusted off his dancing shoes to start dancing with Ming in November 2005.

Ming started ballet aged 5 and trained to a high level in the pre-professional program at Ballet Austin Academy in Texas, USA until the age of 18. Ming competed for a number of years in the US in Ballroom and Latin American but now competes for England with Gary in the Ballroom style.
